If it's going to be 20°F there should be snow to look at.

Cold plus snow is okay

cold and no snow, is not okay.

Also I would be okay with 3 feet for one week of the year.

I would rather have a bunch of snow on the ground if it's going to be cold as all hell. No snow and single digit temps are just depressing when there's no snow on the ground

It's all perspective. My wife is pissed about it because she works in a school and they canceled for the day last night, and we only got about 3 inches. While a day off isn't bad, if they take two many of them it tacks it on to the end of the year, and it will be later until she has summer vacation.

Also parents with school aged children now have to stay home and watch them since they too were planning on not going to work.

And, as for some of the plow guys I'm sure they're a little angry too. If you plan on working a 20 hour shift and only end up working 6 hours, that's a big chunk out of your paycheck.
